Barston ANPR featured on ITV Central News!

Barston's ANPR system was featured on ITV Central News (Wednesday 5th August) as an example of how a rural community is taking unique measures to protect itself from crime.

Barston Parish Councillor, Robert Cookes, and Parish Council Chair, Jeremy Emmett, described the crimes that has taken place in the local area and how the ANPR system has helped to apprehend criminals & identify fly tippers. You can watch the 1 minute clip below.

The next Parish Council Meeting will be held at Barston Institute at 7pm on Wednesday  11th March 2026. 

Meeting agenda will be posted here in Documents to Download (2026 Folder) and on all available noticeboards a full 7 days in advance of the meeting. If parishioners want items added to an agenda, they need to contact the clerk in advance of posting dates or, alternatively raise the matter ad hoc in the meeting's Public Forum item.
