On 15th January 2022 The Telegraph newspaper published its list of the 'poshest' 54 villages to live in Britain and the West Midlands had just one location - Barston Village!

Their description stated:

"Average House Price: £571,202

Posh Appeal:

  • Good transport links

  • Feels rural

  • Bordered by the River Blythe

Bordered by the River Blythe, Barston feels rural yet it has quick access to transport networks. It’s a five-minute drive to the M42, and the train to Birmingham runs from the neighbouring village of Knowle. An HS2 interchange station is being built to the north of Barston to provide Solihull, Birmingham Airport and the NEC with a fast service to London."

It's great to have a national newspaper confirm what we already knew; Barston is a fantastic place to live, in fact one of the best in Britain!
