Councillor Robert Cookes and clerk Ken Flood met with Jonathan Hallam of SMBC Planning in relation to this development. Discussions ensued around parking - the developers not wish to reduce car parking by 3 spaces to which, the Parish Council has objected and encourages parishioners to do likewise without delay. We are most concerned about overflow parking which we believe will be inevitable. We also discussed tree preservation, light pollution and surface water, which is already problematic.

Mr Hallam referred to the various clauses in the approval document designed to control these concerns. Specific planning proposals must be agreed by planning before any building commences. Although we will not be consulted formally, we will take steps to monitor this process.

Based on the volume of planning proposals for this application that are still outstanding, it is unlikely that work will commence in the short or medium term.
